Why Buy On Spain’s Costa Blanca?
A magnificent 7 reasons to buy here
1 – LOCATION
Costa Blanca is on the Mediterranean south coast of Spain. Part of Alicante province, it includes big cities like Torrevieja, Orihuela and Alicante, itself.
The World Health Organization voted Torrevieja as one of the healthiest places in the world to live, largely because of the two natural salt lakes just inland. They are the biggest of their kind in Europe and form a micro-climate that is unique to the region.
Additionally, the Costa Blanca and Orihuela Costa in particular, has so much to offer sport lovers. There are dozens of bicycle routes, tennis courts, top golf resorts and water sports available all year round.
Add to that the natural parks, amazing shopping centers and theme parks, you have a near-perfect destination for you, your family and guests to enjoy.
Direct flights from all over Europe land at Alicante Airport in the north of the area, and Corvera International to the south.
All of this makes the area very popular among Europeans, but property prices for both homes and investment remain much lower than in Marbella, Denia or Mallorca, for example.
2 – WEATHER
Costa Blanca enjoys an average of 320 sunny days a year, with winter temperatures a very comfortable 18 degrees.
The daily average temperature ranges from about 12 °C (53.5 °F) in January and February to about 26 °C (79 °F) in July and August.
Even in mid-winter, sunny days are plentiful, with daytime temperatures reaching 20 °C (68 °F).
In summer, it’s generally bearable because of the sea breeze. However, there may be periods of intense heat, during which the temperature can reach as high as 38/40 °C (100/104 °F).
This makes the area THE most-desired out-of-season destination among Europeans, boosting the rental investment market again.
By comparison, Marbella is on average 3 degrees cooler, and Barcelona is a whole 6 degrees colder during winters.
3 – COST OF LIVING
The cost of a meal on Costa Blanca varies immensely, but you’ll always be surprised.
Many establishments offer FREE tapas with a drink, and a Menu del Dia (3-course menu of the day) can be between 7 and 15 euros.
Dinner at a high-class restaurant with a bottle of wine and 3-5 courses can cost less than 50 euro per person.
Foreign cuisines such as Italian, Indian, Far East, Indonesian and Korean are all catered for.
The price of real estate brings even more pleasant surprises.
A new-build 2-bed, 2 bath apartment in a luxury complex with a sea view & communal pool can cost as little as €170,000, whilst a similar-styled apartment in Andalucia (Malaga, Marbella etc) or Mallorca can cost €400,000 or more.
A modern villa with its own swimming pool on Costa Blanca will cost you an average of €350,000, whilst a Marbella equivalent will cost €900,000.
Hi would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re working with?
I’m looking to start my own blog in the near future but
I’m having a hard time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique.
P.S My apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!
Hello Fred,
we use it straight from WordPress.
Best regards,
